I Totally Called It

Just saying.

I am a soothsayer for real. DUE TO THE FACT that I correctly predicted bathing suit trends of Summer 2024 without any proper trend research. All I used was the inspiration from a 2006 magazine and voila!: SKIMS is selling lingerie-inspired swimsuits. IDK if Kim is swiping ideas from my blog or what, but it's pretty cool cuz I totally called it.

If you don't believe me, check out the blog post where I talk about swimsuit trends of 2024. I explicitly discuss how much I loved the suits reminicent of lingerie that were featured in a Sports Illustrated issue. I posted it prior to this SKIMS bathing suit drop so HA!

Additionally, I predicted embellished swimsuits with chunky hardware. Lo and behold, the fast fashion companies of the world have caught on. I'm peacefully scrolling through my Instagram feed when, naturally, I encounter an ADVERTISEMENT. * rolls eyes *

The ad was for some new bullsh*t clothing brand that most certainly exploits it's workers, therefore I will not be indulging. HOWEVER, tell me this doesn't look very much like the piece pictured in my previous blog?! Rhinestone hardware is in it to win it.

That's basically all I have to say, just a quick shout out to my trend spotting/future predicting skills.

I'm super duper soz that I haven't been keeping up with my blog posts weekly. I've been uninspired and lazy and inundated with schoolwork as my college career comes to a close.

Stay tuned for a Met Gala critique! I can't wait to see how the celebs (or rather, their stylists) "reawaken" fashion for the 2024 theme on May 6th.

Wanna know a fun fact that I haven't shut up about since I discovered it??? Ok, ok, if you insist.

In 2029 the Met Gala will fall on my birthday, May 7th. I pinky-inky swear to myself that I will attend the Met Ball on that glorious day.

New goal: Reach Met Gala status by the time I turn 27. At that point I may die fulfilled and join the 27 Club. Totally JK, but who knows...
